Slotting workshop sponsored by Optricity helps attendees expand thinking about slotting practices in the warehouse

Research Triangle Park, N.C., December 6, 2011 Optricity, warehousing optimization software innovator, recently conducted OptiShop, a three-day workshop designed to help attendees expand their thinking about slotting practices in the warehouse. Tailored sessions during the workshop enabled participants to identify, apply, analyze, and visualize various slotting strategies with the aid of advanced optimization technology.

A key benefit of the cross-functional workshop was the opportunity to share different industry experiences and learn how various roles and backgrounds within the warehouse respond to different slotting tasks. Participants with IT backgrounds appreciated the value of new scripting capabilities as an asset for seamless data exchange. And, retail industry attendees, among others, found the enhanced seasonal and promotional functions of particular interest, especially since handling seasonal demand is top of mind this time of year.
