Optricity EVP Named 'Pro to Know' by Supply & Demand Chain Executive
PDF
Research Triangle Park, N.C., March 9, 2010 Sheila Benny, Optricity’s Executive VP, was recently named to Supply  Demand Chain Executive Magazine’s tenth annual listing of Pros to Know in the Supply Chain Industry. Supply and Demand Chain Executive is the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation.

Supply Demand Chain Executive classifies Benny as a 2010 Provider Pro to Know. The Provider Pros to Know is a listing of individuals from a software firm or service provider, consultancy, or analyst or research firm who have personally helped clients address the challenges of the recession and prepare for the recovery ahead. "This year's Provider Pros to Know have shown themselves to be thought-leaders in the Supply Chain industry," said Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply  Demand Chain Executive. "Highlighting the learnings that the Provider Pros to Know have taken out of the Great Recession provides our readers with a wealth of best practices that they can apply in their own supply chains, as well as insights into how leading organizations are positioning themselves for competitive advantage in the Great Recovery ahead."

Provider Pros to Know were selected based on several criteria, including nominees’ stances on the key challenges facing their customers and clients and their supply chains in the year ahead. According to Benny, the tough economic times are not over, and conservatism will reign as companies continue to focus on cost control, efficiencies, and operations-based improvements. But she and her team at Optricity will continue to provide solutions to their clients that are both state of the art (patent pending) and practical in a real world environment. “The challenge will be to identify the tools that have the power to model increasingly complex supply chains and drive answers that are indeed implementable,” said Benny. “Optimization will provide a cornerstone for operations looking carefully at every dollar invested.” The full listing of the 2010 Pros to Know will be available in the February/March 2010 issue of Supply  Demand Chain Executive magazine and e-book beginning in the third week of March and on the Supply  Demand Chain Executive Web site at http://sdcexec.com/2010prostoknow .
